Instead of traveling for 12 hours, you can simply the traveling time to an hour. Since it travels by air, a lot of us feel that airplanes are one of the safest mode of transportation.

However, riding planes are not always safe — that is what happened in Istanbul.

Unexpected Situation

Instead of landing safely, a commercial plane in Istanbul skidded off a runway after landing in Northern Turkey. The said plane dangled precariously off the muddy cliff, with its nose just a few feet from the sea.

The plane is boarded by 168 passengers, who described the incident as a miracle since everyone was evacuated safely from the Boeing 737-800 flight.

The aircraft was on its belly and at an acute angle just above the water. If it slides further down the slope, it would plunge into the Black Sea.

The incident, which happened last Saturday, created panic among the 162 passengers, which include four crews and two pilots. Luckily, all passengers were evacuated and there were no injuries.

Flights were suspended at the Trabzon Airport for several hours after the incident before resuming operations again on Sunday.
