Split-level house with dining on the upper floor

The split-level house is said to be design that is an alternative of a double-storey house.  Some house owners who dream of having a double-storey house but cannot really afford one would resort to building or buying a split-level.

The split-level has a main floor that typically houses the living room, dining and kitchen and maybe one bedroom while the upper floor houses the bedrooms but in this design, the dining is located in the upper floor. Let’s check the photos.

The main floor is elevated with 5 or 6 steps higher than the ground while the upper level is also elevated about 5 steps higher than the main level.  The presence of balconies make the design more sophisticated and the presence of glass windows and doors allow natural light to enter the house.

If you have an extra space in front of your house, you can also make an open veranda where you can spend some of your chatting session or coffee session.  It is quite relaxing to spend some time outside the house for a breath of fresh air especially if you just came from a tiring work.
