We all know that consuming too much sugar is not good for the body. Adding sugar that is rich in sucrose and high fructose corn syrup contains a lot of calories, and it does not bring essential nutrients to the body.
Calories, when consumed in high quality, can add a tone of weight to your body. Imagine giving up sugar in your diet: You will lose a lot of weight just like this 70-year-old grandmother.
Can You Tell Her Age?
Meet Carolyn Hartz: A seventy-year-old mother of three and grandmother of four who gave up consuming sugar 28 years ago. When she found out that she was pre-diabetic, she made the right decision to stay away from sugar and any food with sugar. However, Carolyn was once a sugar addict so she cannot give up sugar altogether. She thought of an alternative to how she can still enjoy her favorite cake and sweet treats without consuming lots of calories. Her solution: Xylitol, a sugar alternative.
This hot Australian grandmother wrote the book entitled “Sugar-Free Baking Cookbook.” Her book contains a lot of recipes for sugar-free desserts that people can make. These are sweet treats without the guilty feeling because there is no “sugar” added.
Not Everyone Is Convinced
There are still some people who are not convinced that Carolyn followed only her strict diet to get her drop dead gorgeous body. Some people also believe that she went under the knife or injected some Botox to her face to look several years younger than her age.
A lot of women said that it is hard to shed off the post-baby weight and stay in top shape, especially if you are already over 40 years of age.But Carolyn believes that you can do it with motivation.
Speaking with DailyMail, she explained that making the right food choices is important in staying in top shape.
Despite her advice on diet and healthy food choices, there are still some people who mocked her for her claims. Some people even commented:
We know our metabolism slows down as we get older it just means we have to take control and make healthier choices and work a little harder. I believe it is very important to be aware of the type of food you eat and the quantity of food you eat. Being mindful while you are eating is a huge factor.
There’s no way at 70 her eyebrows would be that high, is she going to talk about her surgery? Botox must be sugar-free.
Going sugar-free doesn’t make you look that young without the help of surgery, not even a good anti-wrinkle cream would work.
Go sugar-free and have plastic surgery and Botox. That woman can’t move her face. I’d rather stick to the sugar.
For sure, maintaining a proper diet and staying away from processed foods help. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section below!
